Privacy Policy
1. Overview
Piruse (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is a Europe volcanic travel guide. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App stores and how it is used. Piruse is designed to work primarily with on-device data. We do not operate a user content cloud for spots, memos, or checklists.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Depending on how you use Piruse, the App may store locally (for example in app preferences):
- Login / session markers and onboarding completion state
- Optional agreement acknowledgements shown on the sign-in screen
- Saved (bookmarked) place identifiers
- Trip status (such as Planning or Visited) and private field memos you write
- Prep checklist progress and quiz best score / run counts
This information stays on your device unless you share it yourself (for example via the system share sheet) or clear it by logging out / deleting account data / uninstalling the App.
3. Information We Do Not Collect by Default
- We do not require creating an online profile, email, or password account server.
- We do not request camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, or precise location permission for core browsing.
- The Map tab shows curated destination markers and does not need your live location to function.
- We do not sell your personal information.
4. Sharing Features
If you use Share, the system share sheet may send text you choose (such as a place name and description) to apps you select. Those destinations are governed by the third party’s privacy practices, not this Policy.
5. Links to Other Sites
The App may open this Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use, or other web pages in an external browser. Content on those sites may be hosted separately; this Policy applies to how the Piruse App handles information on your device.
6. Children
Piruse is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, delete the App data or contact us so we can help you remove local records.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Local data remains until you clear it. Within the App you can log out or use Delete Account to wipe session, saved spots, visit status, memos, checklist, quiz stats, and onboarding state on that device. Uninstalling the App typically removes remaining local storage subject to your device OS behavior.
8. Analytics, Ads & Tracking
The current Piruse build focuses on local catalog browsing and does not include third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking for personalized ads. If that changes in a future version, we will update this Policy and, where required, seek appropriate consent.
9. Security
We rely on your device’s platform protections for local storage. No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure; please keep your device locked and updated.
10. International Users
Piruse content focuses on European destinations, but the App may be used wherever it is available. Local storage remains on the device where you install Piruse.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Effective date” will be revised when changes take effect. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
